My husband and I are good students, we did a lot of research before deciding on this crib. Our homework included visits to Babies R Us and Jordan's, reading Baby Bargains, Consumer Reports, and reviews here on Amazon. Pros of DaVinci Parker 4 in 1 Crib with Toddler Rail, Oak
-Shipping was fast! We ordered on 8/11 and it arrived 8/19.
-Assembly was easy! I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and put it together alone in less than 2 hours with nothing but a Phillip's tip in my drill and the materials provided.
-It's sturdy and strong without seeming massive or heavy.
-It's attractive, natural pine and has graceful curves.
-Included toddler rail is terrific and extends the life of the crib.
-Included trundle drawer is nice bonus.
-You can order parts to convert to a full-sized bed, further extending the life of the crib.
-All-wood/metal construction.

Cons of DaVinci Parker 4 in 1 Crib with Toddler Rail, Oak
-Directions could use a little fine-tuning. I'm pretty handy, and they were not so clear. The wooden crib parts are not labeled at all, making it difficult to determine which side was which. I also ended up with extra parts. There were many more locking washers included (20) than were indicated in the parts list (4), and the instructions never told you how and when to use them. I used 4 when installing the metal platform, but didn't use the rest.
-Trundle drawer is pretty cheesy. Not that this should be a selling point of the crib, but it's mostly particle board, the under-drawer support is too short, and the total drawer size is tiny compared to the dimensions of the crib. No wonder they don't show it in the picture! Ironically, this was the only part that had any labels for assembly.
-Pine is a soft wood, and dings pretty easily. It arrived with a couple of dings, and I put a couple in it during assembly. This is to be expected and is a compromise we were willing to make based on the price.

There are some noticeable differences between this one and the older model. Note: The older model of this crib with the drop side was recalled, but this model does NOT have a drop side

This crib is different than the older one (purchased in the beginning of 2009) in a couple of key ways:
1. This crib does NOT have a drop side. The front of the crib is attached using screws through the sides.
2. This crib does NOT have the casters that were on the 2009 Lauren Crib
3. The mattress spring/base seemed to be of a better quality than the one on the 2009 crib (it was much easier to put into place on the new crib)

The assembly of the crib was straightforward and took about 1 hour put together(with a little help needed to hold up some of the pieces due to their size).

Delta Childrens Products Canton 4 in 1 Convertible Crib

The design is actually Delta Childrens Products Canton 4 in 1 Convertible Crib configurations with sofa bed and children have the same configuration. The design has been around for years, but new to me. I am more familiar with the "jail cell" is well designed bed early to mid 1970 and was pleasantly surprised to find our son.

We purchased DaVinci Emily 4 in 1 Crib including Toddler Rail (Baby Product) prior to our adoption of a little girl of four months and loved its style and appearance of ebony! It was in use full time for about 17 months now and still looks almost like new. It is easy to scratch, but surprisingly, we had very few problems with it (maybe just our little one is gum on the bed thing). The rails are a little on the fragile side and I worry about breaking them repeatedly how easy it is tight, but so far everything is intact. As other reviews have mentioned, our daughter was sometimes try their hand stuck between the front and a bar in the crib, and recently I recorded (heard on the screen) with leg trapped by bars of the bed and twisted way, she could not get out.

This was not good, and is easily solved as you have on the screen! When we started to hear the sinister thud "Recently, we realized that we needed to do something new. It seems easy for our daughter (about 17-18 months) to gain influence on the side of the bed and lay on the ground. We ordered ten tons Nativity II, and managed to install it on the bed, even if it does not fit as perfectly as it would on other styles. Unfortunately, we had tears , sewn, and then our daughter to get a full zip and jam so that we had to tear the door of her out of bed! So back to square one. In fact we have a mattress on the floor in a bed right now, which seems to work ... It is completely closed and she can not get one of the tracks below, but it is certainly more difficult to obtain entry and exit road over there. We consider that the transition to todd bed rails, so I'll report how it goes. I can not imagine that this girl is free on his own at night in his room. Scary! Graco Victoria Non Drop Side 5 In 1 Convertible Crib

I was very hesitant to make a Crib by Graco, because I do not know anyone so Graco Everything to do question where they came from and who did not believe it now? After finally found sick and tired of the recalled Cribs, we bought the Stork Craft Tuscany 4-in-1 Stages Crib, now 6.25 for 1 year old. The cardboard box looked pretty rough when he got here, but the producers of packaging by external box provided by Amazon was unspoilt. I read the reviews of the crib so I find the hawk eyes scratches every inch of every piece of the crib. I found no scratches. Love this Graco Shelby Classic 4 in 1 Convertible Crib

After reading all the reviews of the Graco Shelby Classic 4 in 1 Convertible Crib (which was mostly big) The only fear I had was that it was too short for saying that some of the negative reviews. I bought the same and I am very glad I did! I stand 6 'and my wife is 5'8 and both have no problems with the height of the crib. Although it is slightly shorter than most standard cribs, is not really that important, but it is so beautiful and sturdy looking in any way resembles 'as' a crib.

The color is slightly warmer than what is described here, is a species of honey-surprise was a pleasant country, we like even more the image. I love that drop-side, there is less chance of repeal. I would like to have 3 levels for adjusting height of the mattress, and the lowest is perfect for our little guy when he's ready when you are bed-days converted to a child.

E 'was shipped quickly and arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. It 's been quite easy to put together, my brother did it in about 30-40 minutes.

The only negative I can think of is that the bolt indicated on the outside, but it is really significant and does not detract from the charm of the crib.

Graco Sarah Classic Convertible Crib Review

Very nervous about ordering my daughters crib on-line, very very nervous. But after checking out the local shops and looking at almost every crib here on Amazon I felt a bit more confident and ordered this one.

Wow Graco Sarah Classic Convertible Crib.
So far both the grandparents have commented on how pretty it is. It's solid once assembled. It's nice looking, meets all the new safety standards, no drop side so no worries and it has an adjustable height on the mattress to make up for the change in safety standards regarding drop sides.
We got the cherry finish and my wife was worried, but it's a classic victorian cherry so you're getting a dark red stain, very nice.
Standard mattress fits nicely inside, no gaps, and the mattress support is a steel frame with steel mesh and springs.

So why the 5 stars?
Well, because it's a typical self assembly, allen wrench, thumb blister kit. I swear it's been a week and the side of my thumb still hurts from tightening all of the screws.
I still don't understand to this day why they stopped using Phillips screws for these kits and it really wouldn't be so bad accept for the fact that my daughter learned how to pull herself up about 5 minutes after we finished the crib and put her in it. We had built it at the top height so we could get her out easier. We thought it'd save us some back pain and it would be fine since she couldn't stand up without help. Well OF COURSE she stood up right after that, that's what kids do.... sigh. So I had to unscrew the most difficult screws in the bed and re-screw them in new slots using that annoyingly thin little allen wrench.
But that's really my only gripe. The packaging was fine, no damage to the crib, lots of Styrofoam, cardboard supports and separators. I'm a big guy so I could actually lift the package myself, though it does say "Team Lift" on the side and if I wasn't 6'5" I couldn't have carried it alone, to long and awkward. But the weight was very manageable, not like most solid hardwood cribs that weigh a ton.
For the price I really couldn't be happier with this purchase. And knowing that it converts into a day bed and then a head and foot board when she's ready just makes it feel like that much more of a bargain. If you're worried about the side coming off prematurely, don't, it's bolted on just like the other sides. To convert it to a day bed you have to remove the bolts.
We'll see how well it withstands the test of time. I'll write an update if anything happens.

So here's a tip for anyone who hasn't done many of these "DIY furniture" kits. Once you've got it put together, go back through every screw from the beginning and try tightening them again. Lots of screws will loosen as you tighten others. Read the warning for the mattress height, If your child can pull themselves up on their own, the mattress goes at the lowest setting, trust me, you don't want to have to re-set this thing anytime soon, the mattress screws are painted ends so they kind of glue in, very difficult to get them back out.
